About Wachirathan Waterfall
Wachirathan is the waterfall you stop at inside Doi Inthanon, and it's the one that actually impresses. It's a high-volume fall crashing over a granite cliff, loud and full of spray rather than a delicate trickle, which is what sets it apart from the smaller falls scattered around the park.
You won't get here on your own without a car, since it sits right on the main summit road and is normally visited as part of a tour or private car trip up Doi Inthanon rather than as a separate destination. It's a short stop, not somewhere you linger for hours.
Green season is when it really performs, when the extra water volume pushes the spray out toward the viewing area. Expect to get a little wet if you get close, and dress accordingly.
