About Mae Sa Waterfall
Mae Sa is an easy, pleasant waterfall stop north of the city, built around a ten-tier cascade with a paved trail linking the levels. It's popular for picnics rather than serious hiking, and that's the right way to think about it: a relaxed nature break rather than an adventure.
It sits inside Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, so there's a standard park fee to get in. The drive up via the Mae Rim-Samoeng road takes well under an hour, and a lot of people combine it with other stops in the Mae Sa valley on the same trip.
Weekdays are quieter if you want the tiers to yourself, and green or cool season gives the best water flow along the trail.
