About Ko Rang (Snorkeling Marine Park)

This uninhabited island cluster south of Ko Chang is the best snorkeling you can reach from the island, a protected marine zone with clear water, coral and reef fish. You get there on an organised day trip only, with a hotel pickup to Bang Bao, then a boat out to a few snorkel stops with lunch included.

It's genuinely worth it for the clarity and the coral. That said, set realistic expectations: the reefs have taken some bleaching damage, so it's not a pristine, technicolor reef everywhere you look.

Choose a reputable operator that doesn't damage the coral, and go in the calm season for the clearest water.
