About Surin Beach
Surin has an upmarket, more exclusive feel these days, with golden sand backed by casuarina trees. After the old shoreline vendors were cleared out it leans toward sunsets and beach clubs rather than the crowded vendor scene of years past.
It's pretty and a nice spot for a sundowner. But be careful in the water: the steep drop-off and strong surf in the low season make swimming genuinely risky.
Come for the look and the sunset, and be cautious about actually getting in the sea.
