About Laem Phromthep (Promthep Cape)
This is the island's signature sunset spot, the southernmost headland with sweeping views over the Andaman Sea and the offshore islets. It's genuinely lovely and it's free, which is why everyone ends up here at some point.
And everyone does end up here, which is the catch. It gets very popular at sunset, so parking fills and the good rail spots go fast.
Get there early, stake out your view, and enjoy it. It earns its reputation as long as you don't mind sharing it.
