About Karon Viewpoint (Kata–Karon Viewpoint)
This roadside lookout serves up one of Phuket's postcard views: three curving bays, Kata Noi, Kata and Karon, lined up against the turquoise Andaman Sea. It's one of the most photographed views on the island and it costs nothing.
Manage your expectations on the experience though. It's a quick roadside stop, not a destination, and the tour vans pull in and out so it gets crowded fast.
Morning light is best for the sea colours. Snap your photos, take it in, and move on; twenty minutes here is plenty.
