About Wat Phra Thong
One of the island's oldest temples and one most tour circuits skip entirely, which is exactly why it's worth the detour. The draw is the half-buried golden Buddha, with a local legend that it simply can't be fully dug out.
It's quiet, calm and feels authentic in a way the busier temples don't. There's a small heritage museum on site if you want a bit of context.
