About Khao Rang Viewpoint (Rang Hill)
Khao Rang is the underrated viewpoint that most visitors skip in favour of the coastal ones, and that's their loss. It's a hilltop park and pagoda with the best view over Phuket Town itself, plus Chalong Bay and, on a clear day, the Big Buddha out on the far ridge.
It's close to the town centre, so it's an easy trip, and there are a few hillside cafes if you want to linger. Late afternoon into dusk is the sweet spot, when the town lights start to come on.
Free, quiet and central. If you want a view of the actual city rather than another beach, come here.
