About Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park
This one is criminally underrated given how close it sits to town. The coastal headquarters has an open-air sea-view restaurant perched on the cliff, plus a short trail that winds down toward the beach at Hat Lek. It is an easy morning out and a lovely spot to just sit with the view.
Go early. The light is better, the trails are cooler, and you get the clifftop mostly to yourself before the day heats up.
Manage expectations on the inland waterfalls. Outside the rainy season they run thin, so if it is the dry months come here for the coast and the viewpoint rather than the falls.
