Bang Tao is one of the island's longest beaches and it anchors the Laguna resort complex, plus a growing strip of trendy beach clubs. Because it's so long, it has two personalities: quiet and empty at the ends, buzzy near the clubs like Catch and Dream.
That length makes it great for long walks if you want space. If you'd rather be where the scene is, aim for the beach-club stretch, especially around sunset.
