About Bang Saen Beach
Bang Saen is where Thais go to the beach, and that's exactly its appeal. It's a long, lively strip up toward Chonburi city, famous for its deckchairs, seafood and inflatable rings, and it feels like an authentic domestic-tourist beach rather than a foreign resort strip.
The trade-off is honest enough. On weekends the atmosphere is great but it gets crowded and can be litter-prone. Come on a weekend for the buzz and the local energy, or on a weekday if you'd rather have calm.
It's a fair way north, so treat it as a day trip. Grab a deckchair, order some seafood and soak up a very Thai day at the beach.
