About Two View Viewpoint
Two View sits high in the center of Koh Tao and, as the name says, gives you both coasts at once: Sairee and the west on one side, Tanote and Ao Leuk on the other. It's a rewarding two-coast panorama, and there's a cold drink waiting at the top, which is part of the deal here.
The access model, a fee that includes a drink at the trailhead restaurant, is standard for Koh Tao's private-land viewpoints, so it's nothing unusual. The walk in is a jungle trail with some steep sections, and there's an easy extension of about 15 minutes over to the Tanote-side view.
One caution: the trail gets muddy and slippery after rain, so pick a drier day if you can. Late afternoon is prime for catching the west-coast sunset over Sairee.
Highlights
- Views over both coasts from one central spot
- West-coast sunset over Sairee
- Cold drink at the top included with the fee
- Easy extension to the Tanote-side view
Tips
- Come late afternoon for the west-coast sunset
- Avoid it right after rain, the trail gets muddy and slippery
- The fee usually includes a drink at the trailhead restaurant
- Allow time for the short extension to the second viewpoint
How to get there
From Sairee/Mae Haad: ~10-15 min by scooter up the central road toward Tanote Bay to the Two View restaurant, then a short marked trail. Taxi ~150-250 THB.
