About Sai Yok National Park (Sai Yok Yai Waterfall)

A riverside national park where the Sai Yok Yai waterfall drops straight into the Khwae Noi, which is a lovely, unusual sight. It's less commercial than Erawan and known for its suspension bridge, raft houses and limestone caves, plus the area is home to Kitti's hog-nosed bat, said to be the world's smallest.

Set your expectations right on the waterfall itself. This one's about the river setting rather than sheer height, so come for the whole scene, bridge, water and jungle, not a towering cascade.

It's famous for raft-house stays and has served as a filming location, so it makes a relaxed half day. The falls are fullest at the end of the rains heading into cool season.
