About Maenam Beach

This is the beach to come to when you've had enough of the party strips. Maenam is long, palm-backed and genuinely relaxed, with softer sand and cleaner water than the busy central beaches, plus a laid-back village behind it. Families and long-stayers gravitate here for a reason.

It's low-rise and low-key by design, so if you want beach clubs and a buzzing bar scene you'll find it a bit sleepy. That quiet is the whole point, and it's what makes it underrated.

There's no bad time to visit, but the sunset views across to Ko Pha-ngan are the highlight. Bring a book, settle in, and let the day drift.
