About Ko Ngai (Ko Hai)

Ko Ngai is a quiet little resort island with a long white east-coast beach, a fringing reef, and clear water made for snorkeling. If tranquil and scenic is your goal, it delivers.

The honest part is the logistics. Even though it is technically in Krabi, it sits far south and is really closer to Trang and Ko Lanta, so getting here takes some planning. It is not a casual day trip from Ao Nang.

Come in the dry season and treat it as a proper escape, ideally with an overnight so you get the island after the day boats leave.

Highlights

  • Long white east-coast beach
  • Fringing reef and clear snorkeling water
  • Low-key, tranquil resort island
  • Peaceful once day boats depart

Tips

  • Remote, easiest to reach via Trang or Ko Lanta
  • Consider an overnight rather than a rushed day trip
  • Not a practical day trip from the main Krabi hub
  • Dry season, Nov–Apr, is the window

How to get there

Usually reached via Trang or Ko Lanta by longtail/speedboat (~30–60 min from Lanta in season); far south of the main Krabi hub
