About Khao Phanom Bencha National Park
An underrated green escape close to town, wrapped around Krabi's highest peak. There are jungle trails, a multi-tier waterfall, and if you are lucky, wildlife like hornbills overhead and, elusively, clouded leopard in the forest.
The honest caveat is the waterfall. Huay To is best after rain and can run dry in the peak of the dry season, so temper expectations if you visit during a long dry spell.
The trails are a moderate jungle walk and get muddy in the rains, so pick a dry morning and wear proper shoes.
