About Gibbon Rehabilitation Project
This conservation project rescues and rehabilitates white-handed gibbons to release them back into Phuket's last rainforest, and it sits right at the Bang Pae Waterfall trailhead. There's a small viewing and education area where you watch the rescued gibbons from a distance.
That distance is the point. You view them, you don't hold them, and that makes it a good antidote to the wildlife-selfie trade that's rife elsewhere. Entry is free and donations fund the work.
Mornings are when the gibbons are most active. It's a short visit, so pair it with the waterfall next door.
