About Wat Phra Singh
One of the most revered temples in the city, built around the Phra Singh Buddha image and known for its Lanna architecture, all carved wood and layered rooflines. The grounds themselves are free to walk, and you only pay a small fee to go inside the main viharn where the Buddha image sits.
It's in the western Old City, so it's easy to combine with a walk past the other nearby temples. Morning is the best time to come, when it's quieter and cooler.
If you happen to be in Chiang Mai during Songkran in April, this is one of the temples that gets especially lively, and worth seeing then if your timing lines up.
