About Tarutao National Park
This is the big picture that ties everything together. Tarutao is a vast marine national park spread across dozens of Andaman Sea islands, and Ko Lipe, Ko Adang, Ko Rawi and Ko Tarutao are all part of it. When you arrive on Ko Lipe, you're already inside the park, which is why the entry fee gets collected on the spot.
The key practical thing to understand: your arrival ticket covers every island in the park and stays valid for several days. That means all your snorkeling stops and island hops are already paid for, so hang on to the ticket rather than tossing it.
To see it properly takes multiple days, and the headquarters itself sits over on Ko Tarutao, reached from the mainland. Treat this less as a single destination and more as the umbrella over the whole region you're exploring.
