About Royal Park Rajapruek
Royal Park Rajapruek is a sprawling botanical garden built for the 2006 Royal Flora expo, centered on the ornate Ho Kham royal pavilion. It's a genuinely nice visit, especially if you time it for flower season.
The grounds are big, big enough that walking the whole thing isn't really the plan. Use the tram to get around instead of trying to cover it all on foot.
If you can align your trip with the annual Flora festival in cool season, that's when the gardens are at their best and most worth the visit.
Highlights
- The Ho Kham royal pavilion as the centerpiece
- Extensive botanical garden displays across the grounds
- A tram to get around the large site
- The annual Flora festival during cool season
Tips
- Use the tram, the grounds are too large to comfortably cover on foot (it costs extra)
- Visit in cool season for the best flowers, ideally during the annual Flora festival (Dec-Feb)
- Budget around 2-3 hours to see the grounds properly
- It's a straightforward 20-25 minute ride from the Old City
How to get there
Grab/car ~20-25 min from Old City, ~150-200 THB one way
