About Na Muang Waterfall 1
This is Samui's headline waterfall, and in the right season it's a lovely one. Na Muang 1 drops over purple-tinged rock into a pool you can swim in, reached by a short flat walk, so it's an easy win. If you've got more energy, the taller Na Muang 2 is a moderate uphill jungle walk further up.
Timing makes or breaks this one. In and just after the rainy season the flow is strong and the swim is great; in the dry months it can slow to a trickle and underwhelm. Go when there's water in it.
One honest heads-up: the site has elephant-trekking and ATV touts, and those are best skipped for ethical and safety reasons. Come for the falls and the swim, and walk past the rest.
