Koh Ngai is one of the nicest and easiest island day trips you can do from Lanta. It's a small resort island off the Trang coast with a long white-sand east beach, calm clear water, and a fringing reef you can snorkel straight off the shore. No big effort, just pretty scenery and easy swimming.
The vibe is less party, more scenery, which makes it a lovely quiet overnight too if you want to slow right down. It's the kind of place you go to relax rather than to find nightlife.
Come in the dry season, since most day-tour operators cut back service in the low season. You can reach it by speedboat or long-tail day tour from Saladan, and it's also on the Lanta-Trang ferry route.
