About Klong Dao Beach

If you're new to the island or travelling with kids, this is the easiest beach to love. It's a long flat crescent of soft sand with calm, shallow water, backed by resorts, bars and restaurants, and it sits just a short hop from Saladan. Gentle water plus easy access make it the most family-friendly and convenient strip on Lanta.

The trade-off is that it's also the busiest and most developed beach on the island. If you want empty sand and total quiet, you won't find it here. But for swimming, an easy meal, and a base near town, it delivers.

Being west-facing, it's a solid sunset spot. Come in the dry season and stick to daylight for swimming.
