About Kantiang Bay
Kantiang is where Lanta gets dramatic. It's a crescent bay ringed by jungle hills with clear water and soft sand, and it's one of the prettiest and most secluded beaches on the island. The luxury Pimalai resort sits here, which tells you something about the setting.
It's worth the drive south. You trade a longer, hillier ride for better scenery and fewer crowds than the northern beaches, and the surrounding hills give you good sunset viewpoints from the headland. This is the kind of beach you make a day of rather than a quick stop.
Come in the dry season, and time the headland for sunset. The road down is hilly, so ride carefully.
