About Khao Takiab Beach

This long, wide beach runs south from town down to the Khao Takiab headland, and it is the one to pick if the main town beach feels too busy. There is more room to spread out, a more relaxed feel, and a string of loungers and low-key seafood spots along the sand.

It is genuinely underrated compared with the crowded centre. You get the same warm water and soft sand with more breathing space, which is exactly what a lot of people are after.

Come in the morning or around midday, and aim for a weekday if you can, when it is at its calmest. Easy to reach from town by songthaew or a short Grab ride.
