About Wat Phu Khao Noi
Wat Phu Khao Noi is the oldest temple on the island and its most historic, set on a small hill with a white chedi and a genuinely quiet, meditative feel. This is an active temple, not a tourist trap dressed up as one.
That's really the appeal. It's low-key and free, close to Thong Sala, and it gives you a calm, authentic pause rather than a staged attraction. Half an hour to an hour is plenty to take it in.
Come in the morning when it's cooler and the monks are usually around, and dress respectfully with shoulders and knees covered.
