About Tham Luang Nang Non Cave
This is the cave from the 2018 Wild Boars rescue, when a young football team was trapped and pulled out in a dramatic international operation. It's now a memorial park with exhibits and a statue of diver Saman Kunan.
Manage your expectations before you go. The pull here is the rescue story and the free grounds, because you generally can't actually enter the cave itself. If you're picturing exploring the tunnels, that's not what this is.
For anyone moved by the story it's a worthwhile, reflective stop, and the exhibits fill in the details. Come in cool dry season, plan on about an hour, and combine it with a run up to Mae Sai since it's right up near the border.
