About Railay Viewpoint & Princess Lagoon

Short on distance, big on effort. This is a steep clifftop scramble above Railay, and the reward at the top is an excellent view over the peninsula. From there, an optional rope descent drops you to the hidden Princess Lagoon.

Be honest with yourself about the trail. It is a slippery, rope-assisted clay scramble, not a walk, and it becomes genuinely sketchy when wet. If the ground is muddy, skip it, the view is not worth a fall.

Wear grippy shoes and go in the morning on dry ground. Note the lagoon only fills at higher tides, so time it if that is your goal.

Highlights

Tips
