About Ko Hae (Coral Island)
Ko Hae, or Coral Island, is the easy option: a small island close to Phuket with two sandy beaches and shallow reef, ideal for a low-effort half day of snorkelling and swimming. The short boat hop makes it convenient.
It's pretty, but be realistic. The main beach gets busy, the pushy vendors and parasailing can wear on you, and the reef is decent rather than spectacular.
Go on a weekday when it's quieter and it's a pleasant outing. Just don't expect a pristine hidden paradise.
