About Fisherman's Village (Bophut Walking Street)
This is the most charming corner of Samui for an evening stroll. The old teak shophouses of Bophut have been restored into a strip of boutiques, cafes and restaurants, and on market nights the lane fills with stalls, street food and a genuinely nice atmosphere. Of all the island's markets, this one has the best feel.
The honest caveat is that it's polished and tourist-facing, so prices lean high and it's more about ambience than bargains. That's fine if you know what you're getting: come to wander, eat and soak it up, not to haggle for cheap finds.
The one thing to nail down is the market night. The walking street is usually a Friday thing, with extra nights sometimes added in high season, so double-check locally before you make the trip.
